Abilene Rugby Club was formed in 2016 by Jon Howell, Tim Singiser, and Will Hopkins, three strangers that missed rugby so bad that they decided to do what they could to make it accessible to Abilene and the surrounding community. Tim, Will, and many of the original members have moved on but Rugby remains! The team is now lead by Jon Howell and many new committed men and women and is on its way to becoming a hub for Rugby in West Texas.

We believe that rugby is a sport built to include everyone. Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and educational environment for rugby to survive in our community. We hope that rugby can change the lives of those we provide it to, the same way it changed ours by those who made it possible for us.

We are currently coaching Men and Women over the age of 18. We hope to some day include a U18 and younger side.
